New Year Blog Post

During winter break I really didn't do much all I did was sleep, clean, and help my mom cook. For the first week I was just relaxing as I knew I didn't have anything to do anything for the next three weeks. On Christmas Eve I was in the kitchen helping my mom cook dinner all day. We made many dishes including tamales, ribeye, mash potatoes, and green beans. After my mom and I were finish we got dressed and waited for my dad to have our Christmas Eve dinner. While we had dinner everything that my mom and I made was delicious and we really enjoyed ourselves with our dinner.

For New Year Eve my mom and I decided to cook dinner again together and I took up the task to prepare and cook the ham. I had first prepared slices of pineapple by cutting it up. Then I took out the ham from the packaging and placed it into a glass dish as I would be cooking the ham in the oven. I covered the whole ham with some brown sugar and added some cloves in the middle so the flavor would soak into the ham. Then I placed the slices of pineapple on the outside with some toothpicks and covered the whole thing with tinfoil.

These two figures I had bought over the break and I thought they were really pretty. The two have dynamic posse and the way I positioned them so that they were both facing a different way helps with the composition since neither are directly in the middle of the photo. Although the one thing about this photo is how the background is plain.

For this photo I had gone to a restaurant with my family and for dessert we ordered this ice cream pie. I had made the pie be in the middle as the plate was quite big and I also made sure the the background came out kinda blurry. The only thing though was the fact that I hadn't moved any of the dishes so the background looks really busy.
